"The legend of the Skull Witch has been told throughout the area in whispers and rumor. The story tells of a witch that slumbers deep in the darkness of the swamp. She awakens every year around Mardi Gras to lure bewildered party goers into the murky darkness to never be heard from again. Your group has never been the type to believe in urban myths but after two of your friends come up missing at a party, the tale casts a dark shadow over your search efforts. You have tracked them down to a mysterious run-down cabin that seems to be slowly sinking back into the swamp. The door opens as you approach. As you slowly enter, the room fills with the light of ancient looking candles strewn about every corner of the space. Suddenly a loud booming voice calls out to you. It is the witch of the legend! Can you reveal the secrets of the witches power and use it to save your friends and Escape the Skull Witch!"
Already known for their use of technology and engrossing themes, Enchambered aims even higher on Skull Witch. With everything immaculately themed, you’ll find no standard clock timer or walkie-talkie hint systems here. A fully built out tree, whose lights go out one by one acts as the timer for your group; and an automated book that changes when your team opens it acts as your hint system. Our team was blown away by the immersive set design—which is truly theme park-esque. Sharp eyed escapers who delight in details should find plenty to love here, down to materials that you can recognize from Universal Studios or Disneyland. Puzzle quality and quantity are vast in this room, so we'd probably recommend at least 4 people. Fair warning, this room’s set is eerie and a few things borderline on scary (the staff is great about assisting anyone in your group that wants to avoid some scares).
Ultimately a marvelous follow up to the already impressive Enchambered offerings, Skull Witch again notches the bar even higher—and makes Sacramento an escape room destination on par with the SF Bay Area and Los Angeles Area.
